How do I make my flowers last longer?
Start by trimming the stems on an angle and popping them into a clean vase with fresh water. This helps them drink up quickly and keeps them looking their best.
How often should I change the water?
Every couple of days. Fresh, clean water is key to happy blooms. Give the vase a rinse too if you can.
Do I need to re-trim the stems?
Yes, every time you change the water, give the stems a quick re-trim (on an angle). This helps them keep drinking.
Where should I keep my flowers?
Keep them out of direct sunlight, away from heaters or draughts, and not too close to ripening fruit (fruit gives off ethylene gas, which makes flowers age faster).
How long will my flowers last?
It depends on the variety and season, but most fresh blooms will last 5–7 days with good care. Some varieties may last longer, others a little less.
What if one flower starts to wilt?
Remove it from the arrangement so it doesn’t affect the rest. Keep refreshing the water and trimming the others, they’ll thank you.
How do I care for dried flowers?
Dried florals and preserved florals can last for years if cared for properly. Dried flowers do typically fade (and we love this look), however we do advise keeping flowers out of direct sunlight to help preserve their colour. You should keep them in a dry environment as they are affected by moisture and humidity. If your arrangements does get dusty, you can use a hairdryer on cool to blow light air from a suitable distance.

Fresh florals in Christchurch start at $75, ranging in price up to $300 or larger on request.
